Green Living Home Green pool, any health concerns?

Question by brandy2007: Green pool, any health concerns?
Our neighbors are renters, for years even when the home owner lived there allowed the inground pool to turn and remain green like anti freeze. Since the warm weather, the renters fill the pool, within 3 weeks or so, it turns green and stinks- they drain it and refill it, this is the 4th time in the past 2 months they have drained and refilled it. Is there anyone we can call besides the township about this? My daughter and I both have had sinus issues, headaches, fatique and at times nausea when our windows are open. We have the air conditioning on now and feel fine. I think we are getting sick from that pool next door, in addition we have had mosquito issues as well. now that they have once again drained it, to call the health dept would be no good, we could really use some suggestions please.
Thanks!
They do use chemicals, they have no filter or working pump! this has gone on for years- I just called the health dept- I also asked the water dept if there was a law against wasting water like that, she said no, they can drain and fill as often as they want as long as they pay for the water- so why do I shut the water off when I brush my teeth? I try to conserve and yet slobs like that waste it! Not to mention the health risks and mosquito issue.
Does anyone know if this can cause respitory issues? Or is this just coincidental that whenever this pool is turning or becomes green, we get headaches, sinus problems and some nausea- with the windows closed and air on, we don’t experience these problems.

Call the Environmental Protection Agency. Go here to find the agency near you http://www.epa.gov/epahome/comments2.htm

Tell them that they need to buy Chlorine for the pool to kill the germs on a daily basis. And right when they fill the pool, add a thing called “Shock” it prepares the pool and kills all bacteria.

WARNING: Entering Shock will prevent you from swimming for a couple of days. Be very CAUTIOUS because it burns your skin.
