Question by Emily N: How can you help your dog live a longer life?
I have a austrailin shepherd and is about to turn 9. His Mom and dad lived to about 16 and i would like some helpful tips and ways to help him reach the number 16. I love him so much and i dont want him to die!

Hopefully he is neutered. That’s number one. Second, just like people, he should eat right and get plenty of exercise. Minimal treats (or only high quality treats like chicken or duck jerky for dogs.) Don’t smoke around him. Take him to the vet for regular checkups. Keep up good regular groomings and flea and heartworm medication.
