Question by Rafael H: Where can I get funding for a Green Building project?
I live in Richmond, Virginia and I’m starting a green building project. Does anyone know of organizations willing to donate, sponsor or fund projects of this type?
The building is already there, but it’s old and we’re trying to make green renovations.

Contact your local government’s energy office. The new fedestimulusmulous act includes grant funding for local governments to pursue local energy saving projects. They need to apply and to set up the program but you can help them by letting them know your needs and seek their help.
Also, after you get the $ , if you are a for profit organization, you can take advantage of very generous federal tax credits.
