This is presuming that the kettle is used to make hot drinks three times a day for three people, once a day for water for cooking, and only the amount of water needed is boiled. The electric kettle currently used is not designed to be particularly energy efficient.

Depends on-the type of power your local power plant uses.
If your power comes from old Coal burins plants, it is likely your gas stove is clearer. If your power is from Wind, the electric kettle is undoubtedly clearer.
