Green Solutions How does the artificial trees (Treepods) release O2?

Question by Vítor: How does the artificial trees (Treepods) release O2?
Hello, I’m running a school project, which objective is to relate modern electronics inovations to cooperate with the enviroment, either reducing damage caused by industrial power consumption, damages to the enviroment, or replacing actual tecnlogical methods with more “green” solutions.
We’re adopting the Treepods, artificial trees that propose to absorb CO2 and release O2.
We were wondering how the Treepods work. We have researched on various websites, all mentined that they are able to absorb CO2 and release O2, but were not able to explain how the process really worked with better detail. I would appreciate if you were able to provide our reaserch with an answer, especially the CO2 -> O2 transformation.
Thank you in advance, and if possible, provide actual reference (It’s kinda important).

Partly due to the scarcity of information on the Internet, I think this is a hoax. It is true that trees give off carbon dioxide at night, but they take in more during the daytime than they give off at night. The tree uses the carbon to build the itself.

What would the treepod do with the carbon? I wouldn’t invest in the scheme.
