Question by luv1138: ‘Green Card through Marriage’ Forms? 245(i)?
This is my story, please advice:
I have been living here in the USA for more than 10 yrs now. I came here illegally, by the way, I am 22yrs old today ’08. I came over here when I was around 12-13 yrs old. I used to have a passport from Mexico (My nationality) but then my parents had some problems with immigration and took my moms and my passport away at the border between MX and USA (this happened before I came here illegally). Then a couple of yrs after I came over here illegally, I won’t say how, but illegally it was. Anyways, when I got here the amnesty called Section 245(i) was around, and luckily my aunt applied for us (she’s a US citizen, I have the 245(i) receipt and everything, even the case number.) Well, then after a while, I met a girl whom became my friend whom then became my best friend, and eventually at last became my best friend/girlfriend (she’s a US citizen, born here, and over 18yrs old). Well, since we’ve been dating for about 5 yrs now, we talked about it, and we decided to get married, her family and mine are willing to help out, and after we get married we want to apply for the ‘green card through marriage’ process.
“Sorry for the long story, I just wanted to explain myself well.”
So my question is this:
What form(s) will I need if I am here illegally, but I am enrolled in Section 245(i) package? Would I need an attorney? What about the cost/cash?
Any advice will help, & thank you all for your time. ♥

Why not try to get her made a citizen of Mexico, take her home and visit the land in which you were born, make a home and get married. Life in Mexico is one big party, why bother to become a citizen here, things aren’t looking very good for legal citizens here in the United States, if you haven’t heard, we’re headed for a recession, if not already experiencing one, and this really is not a good place to build a relationship if your looking to live a good life. I don’t know why anyone wants to become a citizen of the U.S. at this time, the illegal immigrants have helped to change the land of freedom and dreams and turn it into a land of crime and poverty for more than 70% of the people who live here legally. Why do you want a piece of that?
