Question by ash: How can a 13 year old open a home bakery?
Hi I just wanted to know the required permits to open a home bakery. I make really yummy cake, cookies, and brownies and I want to start saving money for college or hopefully culinary school! Also, having my own business looks good on school applications.

For a business you need a license for a place in a commercial area. Bakeries need a fire permit in most towns. In a commercial area cars can come to your store. Maybe just a cottage works will do at first with local friends as customers.Wallmart has a bakery . Maybe you can talk to the manager.
