Question by It: Does anyone know anything about modular homes? Pros and cons?
I’m interested in buying a modular home – I just don’t know anything about them- to be honest the price is what turned me on to them. I’m a first time home buyer- I was originally interested in buying a townhome but through my online search I found a adorable modular home- perfect size and the yard is small enough for me to manage plus garage – are these homes poorly built? Will I have a ton of fix issues? Are they bad when it comes to strong winds? would i be better off buying a townhome?

Modular homes have a lot of Pros to them and generally speaking they are built to higher quality then homes built on site. Because they’re built in a factory the quality is controlled at a higher level and then the guys on site only have to put the larger pieces together. Personally I don’t see much of con to them, some people don’t like the look of them and that’s about it. As with any major purchase you should do you due diligence and look into the manufacturer of the home and the contractors that put it together, as long as they check out you should be okay.
