Question by Power: Why would strawberries be whiter at the top under the green leafy part, more than they are normally?
I bought a pack of strawberries & they are reddish but the tops are white & it seems they have more while then they do normally. What does this mean?
I am concerned about the food in the area I live in. People out here are not that concerned with what corporations do that could be hurting the masses. I have seen what fracking does & other things going on with foods. So I wonder if the strawberries I just ate could be controlled in some way by the people who only care about making money & not whether the food is safe for people. What do you know about his? Thank you.

I see this a lot, especially in imported strawberries (I live in Canada therefore in winter only eat imported strawberries). I just think it’s because the sun doesn’t get to that part as quickly because of the stem, therefore not quite as ripe. They are fine.
