Green Living Newsletter Q&A: Is juicing really THAT good for you?

Question by kyd: Is juicing really THAT good for you?
I just got a Jack La Layne (or how ever you spell it) juicer and i use it almost everyday. But my question is that is it really as good for you as everyone says? does it really help dieting? can it help you live longer? and does it make you more focus during work, school, and other activities?

Adding fruit and Veg to your diet is always good. I think the people that experience the big changes talked about (better focus, etc) probably had pretty poor diets to begin with, especially is they are lacking in B vitamins.

It’s not a fountain of youth, or a magic bullet to health though.

Green Living Communities Where is the best place to live in the Nashville, TN area for late 20 somethings?

Question by Maureen: Where is the best place to live in the Nashville, TN area for late 20 somethings?
I am thinking of relocating to the Nashville area from Charlotte, NC. I was wondering what areas surrounding Nashville would be both affordable and safe? I am not interested in living in Nashville proper or being close to night life and what not. And a commute of up to 40 minutes is perfectly fine with me.

I currently live in Green Hills, close to downtown. I commute 30 minutes to Murfreesboro for work. I am a recent college grad and took a year to decide on a community around the downtown area to live. It’s a great area. There’s great food, shopping (Green Hills Mall is one of the best in the state), and entertainment. Not to mention it’s only a $ 7.00 cab ride downtown. There are also plenty of recent college grads. Check it out.
