Green Living Roof Q&A: Environment friendlyGreen Dog Cage!!?

Question by kmontgomery94: Environment friendly\Green Dog Cage!!?
Okay, I am fixing my dog’s cage and I want to try to make it Green. It is 10×10, outside under shady pine trees, made of hurricane fence, and is cemented. How could I make it green? I was thinking of maybe planting on the roof to help cool it? Or place a solar panel to power a heat light for the winter? If you have any suggestions please feel free!! Thanks!
Oh wow you are some help
Well, thats just it people. The cage is falling apart. The roof was blown off by Gustov. I need to redo it and i wanted ideas. But god forbid you see my dog in the heat with no roof on her cage because your answers say to do nothing. I didnt ask for the definiton of being green.

The greenest thing to do is leave it the way it is. Going green isn’t about buying things, it is about conserving and making do with what you have. If the cage functions, live it alone.

If the animal needs warmth in the winter look for things that you already have, most dogs can survive just fine without a heat source, if you get snow or freezing temperatures it might be better to put the dog inside.
