Question by MissTiff: Any places in Phoenix, AZ for herpetology?
I’ve loved reptiles ever since I was 4. I always wanted to work with reptiles and study them. I have learned so much in the past 6 years having reptiles, and I know what I want to be. I want to be a herpetologist to study different species of pythons and boa constrictors. I do have quite a few reptiles at home, and I also have owned some other reptiles and amphibians in the past. Pythons and boas really get my interest and I would really enjoy studying them. I’m only 13, but I know so much about reptiles and have helped so many people out. Are there any clubs or places somewhere in Phoenix, AZ I could join that include learning about different species of snakes and interacting with them? Thanks!
By the way, if you wanted to know the reptiles I own they are 2 King snakes, a Corn snake, Ball python, a Dumeril’s boa, Giant leopard gecko, and a Red eared slider. I’ve also have owned a frog, Leopard gecko, Green Anole, Western Whiptail lizard, Common house geckos, and quite a few Fence lizards.

Hello,
Well, I live in England now but I previously lived in California for some 18 years and had a LOT of info on local clubs and societies all over the U.S. the best thing I can do for you is to pass along the phone number of the Arizona Herpetological Society, which will bend over backwards to help you find local shops, lectures, info, events etc. I DO know last months talk was held in Tucson but they have them all over Az. So,
Arizona Herpetological Association
A non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation, study, and understanding of reptiles and amphibians.

You can never learn enough about these amazing animals!! Give them a call right now!!
