Differences:The difference between renewable and nonrenewable energy is that nonrenewable energy can be used up. Renewable energy sources are unlimited and cannot be used up.The difference between renewable resources and non renewable resources is that; renewable are re-producible things such as farm crops or trees, which can be harvested and then grow back and renew themselves cycle after cycle. Non renewable ones produce or grow once, after which they are harvested and die completely. Renewable sources of energy are those which can b reused;
eg:solar energy,wind energy and tidal energy;
they do not get extinguished;
eg:tides can b used again and again to generate hydroelectricity;
they r infinite;
eg:the sun is said to b an infinite source of energy;
they r environmentally friendly -they do not cause pollution;
eg:solar energy can b generated without depleting the world’s resources;
the machines developing these energies are costly ;
eg:the solar water heater and solar cooker r quite expensive;
non renewable resources r just the opposite;
they cannot b reused;
eg;some types of plastic,wood;
they do get extinguished;
eg:wood ,petroleum,oil,etc.
they r finite energy resources(CANNOT B USED AGAIN ONCE USED);
eg :wood ,petroleum,oil ,etc.
they cause pollution and r environmentally harmful;
eg:wood,petroleum,oil ,plastic when burnt causes alot of pollution
Similarities : ~They are both energy Non-Renewable energy is the energy which is taken from the sources that are available on the earth in limited quantity and will vanish fifty-sixty years from now. Non-renewable sources are not environmental friendly and can have serious affect on our health. They are called non-renewable because they cannot be re-generated within a short span of time. Non-renewable sources exist in the form of fossil fuels, natural gas, oil and coal. Renewable energy is the energy which is generated from natural sources i.e. sun, wind, rain, tides and can be generated again and again as and when required. They are available in plenty and by far most the cleanest sources of energy available on this planet. For eg: energy that we receive from the sun can be used to generate electricity. Similarly, energy from wind, geothermal, biomass from plants, tides can be used to fulfill our daily energy demands
I hope this helps
