Green Living Nyc Living in New York City/Moving to NYC from Canada.?

Question by =): Living in New York City/Moving to NYC from Canada.?
I live in Canada right now, but its my dream to live in New York City. Preferably Manhattan, on the Upper West Side. Right Now i’m in grade 9, but I plan on going to University there, What I want to know is what are some jobs that pay enough to live there, and about how much would I need to make a year to live there. I want to know this now so I can take the right courses in High School to be able to find a job that I like and pays enough. Also any other information that would be helpful to know so i can be ready for when im old enough to live there, and also some info on what I need for a US citizenship/moving to a new country.
Thanks =D
I know that, I plan on moving to the Upper West Side after I finish university in NYC.

You will not be able to afford an apartment in manhattan (good luck even anywhere else in the city)… on your own in college… working a side job… a good place in manhattan (studio or one bedroom) is between 2500 (if ur lucky) to 4000 U.S. dollars every month…. and those are the basic places that aren’t fancy and don’t include furniture and bills… you will need between 3500 to 5000 a month on that alone… not to mention transportation and food and all that… your best bet is trying for student aid and doing a dorm or having about 5 roommates in a one bedroom lol… don’t be so anxious and expect to get exactly what you want right away… that’s what school is for… work up to it… it won’t happen ASAP…
