Question by Snorkie: Is there any environmentally friendly rat poison available in South Africa?
Last night my dogs killed a rat in the garden! I am worried that there might be more. Do you get any environmentally friendly rat poison (not Finale or rattax) in SA? I have 2 or 4 owls living on the roof of my house as well and I do not want to kill any birds by putting rat poison out.

Lise.. your dogs sound they are already doing it the environmentally friendly way 
by the way it’s the year of the Rat in China and i am born in the year of the Rat. (1960 version).
so long as you don’t have too much garbage or food scraps lying around your backyard, i think you probably you won’t have too much trouble from rats.
