Green Living Dallas How is ticket scalping legal on the internet?

Question by GK Dub: How is ticket scalping legal on the internet?
Ticket scalping is highly illegal. So I was just wondering how websites like GreatTickets.com are considered a legitimate business when they are charging 15 times the tickets actual value. If you go to Ticketmaster or Live Nation, front row Incubus tickets cost $ 40…but at GreatTickets.com they cost $ 600. And how is it that these companies have all the best seats before the tickets have even gone on sale? This is also a problem on eBay…people selling concert tickets for 12 times the face value, how is this legal?

It’s not the seller’s fault, it’s the buyers. As long as people will pay the ridiculous prices they charge, they’ll keep charging them.

And I know…..I’m a huge Dallas Cowboys fan, and my wife is a Green Bay fan. Well, they’re playing in Dallas this year, so we wanted to go. She spent almost $ 1100 on two tickets. Granted, they’re SWEET tickets (17th row, 45 yard line), but had I known she was going to pay that much for them, I’d have thrown a fit and told her not to.
