Question by contradica: Where is an eco-friendly or green venue in NJ for a wedding ceremony/reception for 75 people?
My fiance and I are looking for a outdoor eco-friendly or green venue for our wedding ceremony and reception somewhere in central or south New Jersey for about 75 people. The reception can be held indoors. We are looking to have a budget of anywhere $ 40 to $ 60 per person.

I am not certain of what is available in your area, but these sites have been a great assets to a few brides I know who wanted “green” weddings.

As for a venue, you might want to consider a local park or hiking area that you could have your ceremony. Talk to your local government office to see what they have available. Nothing like be a part of nature for a “green” wedding!
For the reception, speak to local caterers that deal with organic, local cuisine. They might have suggestions for you as far as locations to have your reception.
Instead of having a DJ or band that plugs in music, consider finding a band that is all accoustic. A wedding that I went to had family members playing and one did a beautiful rendition of a wedding song on an accordion.
