Where were you living during this period? LA
How did you feel about the changing culture? Loved it. Thought we were changing the world for the better.
Did you have any involvement in either the civil rights movement or the antiwar movement. Yes, both, as well as the women’s and environmental movements.
How did the riots in major cities in the United States affect you? Scary stuff. I was in the middle of some of it, and the police and National Guard generally made it worse. It increased middle class resistance to change.
Were you aware of issues in the science at the time? Very much so.
