Question by kathy_maybe: Fact or Fiction: a good cook does not put salt shakers on the table?
I was raised to believe a good cook did not have to put salt or pepper shakers on the table. It was OK to serve pickles, chutney, catsup & mustard when serving hamburgers, gravy or sauce for meat, green onions, pickled watermelon rind or radishes with Thanksgiving turkey. Am I hopelessly behind the times?
