Question by K. HOLIDAY: What are some different ways that I can volunteer and do community service?
Hey. I’m 17, and I’m really interested in helping those in need.
Sometimes I volunteer at the Salvation Army soup kitchen, and at an animal shelter.
Or just doing whatever I can when I get the chance. Whether making a donation or signing up for a 5k race.
Some of the causes that I’m interested in are
Animal Welfare
Factory Farming
Climate Change
Green Living
Homelessness
Poverty
World Hunger
Supporting the Military and soldiers
Dont get me wrong, but a while ago I had this idea relating to the army.
This is it:
We can get all the countries together and work together to stop the wars going on. Working together with other countries to get the rivals/enemies on our side. We can even use tranquilizer guns in battle to put them to sleep, then take them to special facilities where we can talk to them and get them on our side, and to work with us. And hopefully go towards world peace and stop war.
I know that might sound a bit off but it’s an idea that I’ve had for a while.
I’m just really interested in helping out. I could go on about the details of causes and what I want to do, but that would end up like a novel.
Like said before I’m 17, and I don’t have a lot of experience volunteering.
But I want to get an idea of some different opportunities and things I can do to be of service and help out.
What are some resources and information that I can look at also?
I’ve even thought about starting an organization.
