Green Living Guide What are some good recipes for deserts?

Question by Yeaaaah: What are some good recipes for deserts?
I’m fourteen and I LOVE TO BAKE! But I am the only one in this household who does so there isn’t a lot of equipment for me to use. I was just wondering if you could give me some simple but good tasting recipes for some deserts that don’t include expensive ingredients or things like that. (Where I live it’s rare to find cream/cream cheese) I’ve done Nutella cookies, Sugar cookies, Chocolate chip cookies, and Peanut butter oatmeal cookies numerous times. I’ve also baked Lava molten cakes and chocolate cakes. I really want to make cupcakes as well, but the tins are SO HARD TO FIND! Do you have any suggestions (and recipes) for me?

If you are looking for something that will really favour your sweet tooth, http://www.yumsugar.com/Basic-French-Macaron-Recipe-21651110.

This is advanced. It is VERY hard to do. It looks simple but it isnt. I’ve tried it a few times. The macarons are delicate. One mistake can ruin the whole thing.

Some tips for it:

Template to make them sized perfectly:

Print three. Put them under your parchment paper and pipe the macarons in the size given. When you finish piping, remove the paper. Then bake.
REMOVE THE PAPER, not the parchment.

My useful tips:

Age the egg whites in the refrigirator (in a bowl, covered with plastic) . if you dont want to, microwave it for only 10 seconds. Always use room temparature ingredients. Tap the pan a few times on each side to remove air bubbles. Then put it on the counter, uncovered. Wait til the circles make hard shells. You should be able to touch it without getting your fingers dirty. It’s good to bake them at a low heat. Beause it’ll bake consistently. Do not follow the heat and time in the recipe. Experiment! Youll know it’s cooked when the shell is FIRM . When soft, add more time. Do not remove from the oven and put it back in. This will ruin the process. Touch it when it is inside the oven.
