Question by Mike: How much to replace old pipes with copper?
My old pipes are leaking everywhere. They also have green stuff build up around some spots. How much would it be to get it replaced with copper. Its not that much of a big area. Kitchen and bath area leading to basement.

There’s a better than even chance that when the replacement happens that most of the currently attached fixtures will wind up having to be replaced as well. This will be a several thousand dollar project and could get very expensive. Unless you have extensive experience in this area I’d call some local plumbers to get estimates. They should do this for free. That way you can get a much closer idea of what the cost will be. I can’t see the condition of the pipes, the hangers, the general area, how tight it might be to get in some places. All that stuff will play into the cost. If and when you do call some plumbers in, don’t just say, “go on down and take a look, let me know what you find.” Go along with them, you can answer any questions they might have, and they can probably answer any questions you may have for them.
