There is a great deal of emphasis in our economy to build and operate businesses in an environmentally efficient manner. Should state or federal government offer special incentives to companies that choose to build with green materials, harness green power,and employ other green tactics in their operation?

Given the current economy, it is a good idea for the government to give incentives to all businesses. These should not be subsidies of any sort. Tax holidays for a few years are a good incentive. But eventually the green business is going to have to make it on its profits or else go under if it cannot compete on its own merits.
