Sustainable Green Living Q&A: Are you really going green?

Question by Solar Electric Supply: Are you really going green?
Hi Everyone,

We have usually heard a term ‘Green Living’ which obviously means living sustainable life in order to protect environment. But have you ever thought that you are really doing something for environment, something sustainable that could contribute a little towards environment conservation? The answer would probably be both Yes and No for most of us reading this thread. This thread isn’t meant to add more chilly on already debated topic green living, but this thread is just to check whether everyone is as much active towards nature welfare as our we think and say. You do not need to go anywhere to seek help or suggestion on being green. Even you can save earth by planting a small tree. If you want to do something for our earth technologically than you can do that too. Let’s think about using alternative energy sources such as solar power systems that drastically reduce green house gases emission, thus less pollution and more contribution. What are you doing in that matter?

Thanks

hello friend, i live pretty “green” i recycle everything i can, walk when i can and use sustainable materials (non plastics) but it is more than useless doing this. the reason i say this is because we contribute less than 5% of all the Co2 emissions in the world. The biggest contributor is the sea, all the dead animals carcasses emit a large amount of Co2. Think about how big the sea is and how many animals die daily. Another big contributor is volcanoes.. they throw unbelievable amounts of Co2 into our atmosphere every year. Lastly the sun goes through burning cycles. In simple terms, the more sun spots there are on the sun the more energy is being released and the hotter it gets. So the “greenhouse effect” is in fact just one of these cycles. Remember in victorian times when there was an ice age through one of the summers (cant remember the year) and there wasnt a hot day that year… this is purely because of the lack of “sun spots” on the sun…. Regardless of all that i still “stay green” because in the end there isnt a thing we can do.

What do you think? Answer below!
