Question by Veronica (hunters momma): please help me i am stumped!?
When i was a little girl i had a series of books i have since lost. They had a simple, three or four word sentence on the right hand page for young/new readers and a more complex phrase or paragraph on the left handed page. The stories took place on a cobbleston street in like the 1800′s or early 1900′s. at the end of the street there was a garden and a friendly green monster lived there. He was able to disapeer all except his eyes and long green rabbit like ears. He walked on two feet like a human and some of the stories in the series were about him playfully scaring visitors to the town. There was an old man who lived upstairs in on of the houses and he slept all day long. He had a nightcap. another story was about the children in town playing ball in the street and accidentally throwing the ball through the bedroom window of that gentleman. I do not remember the title or author of these books i am sorry. They were small-like 5 by 7 inch books with a hard back. i have posted my question on varous bullitan boards and forums with absolutley zero luck. does anybody know what i’m talking about or know a place i could post my question likely to get a response? thank u

you could try www.whatsthatbook.com or www.auntbook.com both are pretty good at recognising books
