in today’s society does it work if i don’t give a damn about wealth or money to live a simple life and enjoy it ?

Yes it does work. It worked for hundreds thousands of years before we had all this technical stuff. I have eliminated a lot of unnecessary stuff from my life and it is a lot better. Good luck, you will need some money,though.
