Question by bonnieb119: Questions about recycling a Christmas tree?
I would like to recycle our Christmas tree, but my town does not offer it. I searched on earth911.org, and the closest recycling center is about 10 miles away, but it says that this program is only for people that live in that area.
Is there anything I can do to recycle it? I would hate to see it in a landfill.

Im burning mine in a beach bonfire. In the past Ive used it in the fireplace. If burning is an option, thats what Id suggest. If not, you could chip it and use it for mulch or somewhere in your yard, a neighbor might have a chipper if you dont. Also, a tree is not something too much to worry yourself about in a landfill as it will recycle itself before too long!
